Mohammad Abdeljawad MD
Dr. Mohammad Abdeljawad is a board certified physician in Family Medicine. He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He attended St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine where he received his medical degree in 2010. Dr. Abdeljawad completed his residency program at Virtua Family Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physician’s. Before joining Advocare Moorestown Family Practice, Dr. Abdeljawad was a hospitalist physician with the Virtua Medical Group serving the South Jersey community. Dr. Abdeljawad resides in Voorhees with his wife and three children. In his spare time he enjoys reading, biking and jogging.
Sherrylynn Lee MD
Dr. Sherrylynn Lee is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She attended Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines where she received her medical degree in 1998. Dr. Lee completed her residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital which is affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine Bronx, NY. After residency she had an Internal Medicine practice and was partner at Connecticut Multi-Specialty Group in Hartford for seven years prior to joining Virtua as a Hospitalist for ten years.
In her free time Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in outdoor activities, traveling,and exploring technology with her son.
Jennifer Tiernan-Palermo APN
Jennifer Tiernan-Palermo is a board certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine. She graduated in 2008 from Holy Family University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Jennifer attended Rowan University where she received her Master of Science degree as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in 2019. Before joining Advocare Moorestown Family Practice, Jennifer worked as a Registered Nurse for 12 years at Virtua Marlton Hospital in Marlton, NJ. Jennifer likes to spend her spare time with her son, dog and cat.
Melanie Wassel DNP, APN
Melanie Wassel is a board-certified Adult and Geriatric Nurse practitioner. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Rutgers University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Thomas Jefferson University. She has served the community as a primary care provider for the past 18 years and has also served the nursing profession as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Rutgers University through 2020. She currently is focused on providing outstanding primary care to patients 18 years and older with a strong focus on disease prevention and health promotion.
Riana Rizzo APN
Riana Rizzo is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her nursing degree from Drexel University in 2014 and earned her Master of Science Degree at Rowan University in 2021, where she specialized in family medicine. Riana has 8 years of nursing experience in medical-surgical, homecare and primary care settings. Outside of work, Riana enjoys spending time with her husband, son and family. She loves traveling, concerts and fitness
